At the Military Housing Coalition, we are committed to ensuring that military families receive the quality housing they deserve. Our guiding principles revolve around Safety, Security, and Soundness.
🗣️ Safety: Prioritizing homes that provide a secure and healthy environment. Free from mold, water intrusion, lead, and other health concerns.
🗣️ Security: Advocating for standardized dispute resolution, and financial security with proper BAH recalculation.
🗣️ Soundness: Promoting homes meeting FHA guidelines and passing VA appraisal for structural integrity.
Join the Military Housing Coalition in advocating for quality housing for our nation’s heroes.
We are advocating for:
- Proper lead, asbestos, mold testing and remediation.
- Disability and accessibility compliance.
- Proper work order management systems.
- Research and education.
- Solutions to veteran homelessness.

Hazards like mold, asbestos, lead paint, and pests not only jeopardize the well-being of the families but also create additional stress for deployed military members, impacting their focus on critical missions.
Prioritizing secure living conditions is essential for the overall effectiveness and readiness of our armed forces.
I had a very rough experience with the overall housing associates on Fort Benning. While going through a really bad divorce, my ex wouldn’t leave my home. She contacted the chief of housing and the village manager making false claims to get people to feel bad for her and sustain all of the hate for me, costing me time and money. Everyone sided with her and without speaking to me at all, the chief of housing got involved with my divorce, my lawyers, and the judge, resulting in costing me 2 full days in court and upwards of $2,500. After a big investigation, my ex was found guilty of emotional spousal abuse and all of her lies came to fruition. Upon her exit, she utterly destroyed my on post home and all of my things inside and then housing had the nerve to send me bills after costing me so much money with court and involving themselves in something they had zero business being involved with. After the dust settled, I contacted the Military Housing Coalition on Facebook, shared my story, and within maybe 15 minutes Blair got back to me and was ready to help. I ended up getting all of the fee’s waived, they came out and changed my locks, reprogrammed my garage doors, and I got to sit down with the chief of housing and their regional management team where they formally apologized to me and regretted getting involved in my personal life behind my back like I was some type of criminal. I am extremely grateful for The Military Housing Coalition and all of the work they do to help out families in need. Thank you so much again for being so involved and helping me when there was no one in my corner!
